You should read them!

Let’s dig in —

1.Best of 2017: Our Favorite Posts for Writers from the Last 12 Months, by Robert Van Tongeren over at Smart Blogger

In this post, Robert analysed some articles by different authors that they, over at Smart Blogger, have enjoyed in the last 12 months. My best article out of his pick is The Anatomy of the PERFECT Article Intro (And How to Reverse Engineer It) by Sarah Peterson.

I love this article because Sarah carefully explains the impact of introductions and breaks it down to ‘ensure that the next intro you write has the desired effect.’
Here’s what Robert says about this article- ‘After all your intros carry a lot of responsibility. They must not only convince people to start reading, but they must also convince people to keep reading.’ I totally agree. Read the rest of Robert’s post here.

2. 7 Ways You Can Repurpose Your Old Blog Posts to Get More Traffic by Robert Van Tongeren over at Smart Blogger

Robert explains that ‘most bloggers are so focused on delivering new ideas that they neglect to help their readers discover the old ones, and many of those oldies are still relevant today.’ This is so true.

He talks about many things you can do with an old blog post including, turning it into slideshow, video, podcast as well as republishing on other sites like Medium, Life Hacker, Vox etc. I particularly like his idea of taking a single idea from your list post and ‘expand it into a whole new post.’

Now, that’s a great idea, one I think we can all agree on. Follow this idea and you will not struggle to come up with post ideas in 2018. This is a piece of advice I intend to follow, because it totally makes sense.

3. How To Grow You Email List By The Thousands by Dustin W. Stout over at Dustn.tv

In this post, Dustin explains the steps he takes to grow his email list, steps that saw his list grow to thousands and continues to grow. He explains the different types of freebies and where he placed them within his posts and website. He also discuses the impact of content upgrades to his list. It is indeed impressive. 4. A thank you post from The Molecular Biologist over at themolecularbiologist.com

A refreshing ‘Thank You for your support’ from the molecularbiologist to her followers on having 100 followers within two weeks of starting her blog. Very impressive. I love this thank you post because, we often forget to stop and say thank you. And sometimes, that’s all it takes.

Allow me to use this post to also say a big thank you to you all for being there.

See you in 2018!
